The gin flavor gives it the herbal juniper berry essence. The Campari gives it the bittersweet taste with cinnamon, orange, cherry and clove flavors combined. The last ingredient, vermouth, also has herbal and spicy flavors like cinnamon.

I love this super icy cold and with a twist of orange. A really nice bitter orange flavor with some heat as you sip. The heat is the sort of heat you can get from a cinnamon “red hot” candy, but the drink isn’t typically sweet in any particular way. A perfect aperitif.

I’ve stopped drinking because Im just over the inflammation and hangovers so I picked up this Negroni. As someone whose had a real one, it’s good! I mixed it with Kin Lightwave or a lime selzter sometimes. I also got the mezcal (it was my favorite liquor) but it’s a little too watery for me. I really miss the smoked flavor of the mezcal, but the mezcal only had the spiciness which I can achieve with a few Serrano pepper slices. I’m glad I tried it though!

I have been sober for a little over 2 years and have really enjoyed trying so many non-alcoholic beverages. I never tried a Negroni when I did drink, so I can't compare it to that, but I really enjoyed this so much. It is bitter and not sweet, with a smoky type, "warmth" taste that I really enjoy. I pour it over large ice cubes and let it sit a bit, and added a dash of honey along with a clementine peel and a little squeeze of fresh clementine juice. It's a new ritual that I know I'll enjoy- be able to have a delicious drink like this without the guilt of a hangover afterwards.
