Mama with a Mocktail is Back!

Mama with a Mocktail is Back!

Mama with a Mocktail is back!

Hello Escape Family…I’m back! It’s been a while, but I’m happy to be back sharing my journey with mixing and mocktailing, sharing all of our Escape products, and how I spend my days thinking my drinking.

During my time away, I moved slowly through life and during that time, I listened more to what I needed. I spent more time in nature, found ways to take care of and love myself more, and connected with my spiritual side.  I recently rewatched the movie Eat, Pray, Love.  Elizabeth Gilbert spend time in the places where she needed to feel alive again.  I’m slowly walking down the path towards a brighter life. I knew I needed to get back to the things that brought me joy and happiness. I needed to find the parts of me that gradually  went missing.  I leaned on my background in Health Education as a foundation, but also drew from other experiences and started to look at life differently .

When I work with clients, I always take a simple approach to wellness - none of this “you have to join a gym to be get into shape.” I feel all you need is a comfortable pair of shoes.  When I decided to help out with the family business again, we were in the middle of the name change.  Changing the name was a bit of a challenge for me. With the name change to Escape Wise, I kept racking my brain trying to come up with ways to communicate the new name and what non-alcoholic drinks and that lifestyle are about.  The definition of wise - having good judgement and having learned much from experience, kept being something that I went back to.  During the last few years, I’ve learned a lot from my past experiences.  When I look back on my almost 30 year relationship with alcohol, I haven’t always used good judgement.  So, now it’s time to get wise - wise with alcohol, wise with wellness and wise towards being a better me.  I hope to help you on our journey through life and inspire you to work on small ways to be a healthier you.  We can do this together!  I’m looking forward to diving into  A Wise Way to a Well You. Look for our social medial posts, in depth blog posts, and personal stories.

I started the series this month in February, talking about Self Love and Blood Pressure.  Each month I’ll have a theme and health related article.  March is going to be more personal, so make sure you watch for our emails and I’ll also post reminders on our social pages.

If there’s topics you’d like to see or questions you have, please email them over and ask to talk to Mama.
